BDQ at the forefront of the young Polish jazz scene!

The unusual mix of personalities makes BDQ a truly extraordinary band. Their every concert constitutes a unique musical event. The musical matter presented by them is spatial and colourful, strongly rooted in mainstream jazz, yet transformed into a peculiar modern jazz creation with a subtle note of Polish folk.
BDQ have already received numerous prestigious awards in the Polish jazz scene, including:

Grand Prix at the 37th Jazz Juniors Festival 2013, Grand Prix at the LOTOS Jazz Festival - 16th Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa 2014, and XXXX at “Klucz do kariery” 2014 (“Key to Career”).
They were also awarded scholarships from the Minister of Science and the Minister of Culture.
Their first album, POLISHED, was released by the renowned Hevhetia record label and quickly gained recognition among both critics and audiences. It featured fully original compositions for violins, piano, double bass and drums, echoing not only jazz classics, but also subtle and lyric elements of Polish folk tunes.
The musicians graduated with honours from the Jazz Institute of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice.
