Created in Strasbourg, OZMA is a jazz group with rich and varied influences orbiting in a decidedly current universe that is both adventurous and accessible. It is this ambiance that OZMA has explored and shared throughout its five albms.
Since 2007, OZMA’s opus has been nourished by numerous tours (more than 200 concerts in North America, Africa, India and Europe), varied creations (a big band, four live film projection concerts, two photo-concerts, a visual art creation) and meetings with foreign artists (in Burkina Faso in 2008, In Gujarat, India in 2012 and in South Africa in 2014).
One of OZMA’s characteristics is to bring to the masses that which seemingly belongs to only a select few “in the know”.
This approach can be seen in the group’s jazz repertoire but also in its multi-disciplinary projects such as its work tied to images (film-concerts based on early 20th century silent films, photo-concert based on archival images of the First World War…), exchange projects like the France-India creation and tour with the group Darpana from Ahmedabad (Carnatic music and Bharata Natyam dance), as well as the photo-concert “20!” with South-African musicians and photographers in hommage of that country’s twenty years of democracy.

On the program, new songs (from the forthcoming
album, to be released next autumn), a collection of the
best songs from “Peacemaker” (2012) and “New Tales”
(2014) as well as some performances of the concertprojection
of “The Three Ages” by Buster Keaton.
